Charice Pempengco's Grandmother Reacts Over Her New Look

Charice’s grandmother said that she is hurt over her granddaughter’s new look and appealed to the singer to revert to her old image.

During an exclusive interview on “The Buzz” last Sunday, Tess Relicio said she does not approve of her granddaughter's latest style.





“Pinalaki ko siya. Tatanungin nila ako, ‘Nanay, bakit po ganun ang itsura ng apo niyo ngayon?’ Gusto ko umiyak. Masakit. Nahihiya rin ako. Hindi ko ikinakahiya ang pagkatao ng apo ko. Ang nahihiya ako doon sa bakit nagkaganyan siya. Ibalik lang niya ang dati,” she said.

A photo of Charice sporting very short hair while wearing a polo shirt with a bowtie and slacks at what appears to be a campaign sortie has made rounds online and has sent Filipino netizens abuzz with some questioning her sexual preference.


Relicio said she is trying to understand Charice because she loves her.

“Lahat iyan anak nauunawaan ko dahil mahalaga ka sa akin. Pero huwag mo naman anak dumihan ang sarili mo, ang katawan mo,” she said.

“Mahal ka ng mommy mo Charice. Masakit sa aming lahat ang itsura mo ngayon anak,” Relicio added.

She also called out to Charice’s loyal fans dubbed Chasters. “Sana ang lahat ng Chaster ng aking apo, ituro niyo ang tama kay Charice.”
