Quezon City Declares July 22 PNoy State of the Nation Address (SONA Day) Suspension of Classes.

President Benigno Aquino III (PNoy) State of the Nation Address (SONA) Day is on July 22, 2013, Monday. It is expected that upon the delivery of his SONA, thousands of civilians will be holding protests. As a measure by the Quezon City government, it is announced by Mayor Herbert Bistek Bautista that the classes will be suspended in all public and private schools all over the city.

It is expected that the Sandigan, Commonwealth areas will be a haven for protesters. Safety measures are already in place, as well as decongestion of trafic for roads across the Batasang Pambansa Complex.

This is PNoy's 4th SONA.

According to CHED, colleges and university administrations are given the full authority on whether they should suspend classes come PNoy SONA Day on July 22.
