Ogie Alcasid Transfers to TV5; Singer,Songwriter,Comedian Leaves GMA 7

Ogie Alcasid is leaving GMA-7 in favor of TV5.

After 18 years of being a loyal Kapuso, the singer-composer and OPM President, reportedly met with GMA Network Executives last June and last week to inform them about his decision to leave the network.

In PEPposted on Wednesday, GMA Network issues a statement confirming the report.

"As Ogie Alcasid moves on to explore new grounds, GMA Network, his home for almost two decades, wishes him all the best. We thank him for being a part of the Network's success all these years.

"His achievements as a singer, songwriter, comedian, host and actor make Ogie the icon that he is now. And the Kapuso Network is proud to have been with him throughout this journey," GMA Network said.
