During the pre-pageant, I have listed some girls who may take the crown this year.

For Miss Universe - Philippines 2014, I have listed four girls who can potentially be this year's top plum winner - they were Kimverlyn Suiza, Pia Wurtzbach, Diana Arevalo, Mary Jean Lastimosa.

After tuning in to the press presentation videos, two of these girls fell off the radar while another girl emerged on my hot picks.


Bianca Guidotti, the Ateneo de Manila stunning newbie, is this year's Aces & Queen's achiever girl - and all of their achiever girls had won so far. Hello there, Shamcey, Ara and Janine. Will she be this year's Miss Universe - Philippines 2014? If so, how would Suiza, Wurtzbach, Arevalo and Lastimosa fare in the competition?

Predicting the eventual winner would be a long shot, but, out of these ladies - Wurtzbach, Guidotti and Suiza are very much interchangeable for the Universe and Binibining Pilipinas International 2104 seats. Most likely, Guidotti may actually take Universe, Wurtzbach for International and Suiza might get Supranational.

I am expecting Nichole Manalo, Joy Diaz to have a shot in the Binibining Pilipinas Tourism 2014 crown. Year after year, an eloquent favored lady gets this crown. She's the girl who's the best alternate for Miss Universe-Philippines. During Shamcey's year, Isabella Manjon would have been the eventual MUP, same as during Janine's year, when Dimaranan would have replaced her if she vacate her place. This also goes for Cindy Miranda.

This year, the Binibining Pilipinas-Tourism could be one of Nichole Manalo, Joy Diaz, Diana Arevalo, MJ Lastimosa. I am hoping that either Arevalo or Lastimosa gets it.

For the runner-up, I would like Yvethe Santiago to take the 1st Runner-up, and hopefully this year, we'll have a second runner-up.
