After days of rounding the social media, Frasco Mortiz has decided to speak up and react about the issue between Kim Chiu Kalokalike Charmaine Viking being referred to as "Bea Binene" by Xian Lim in front of national TV in an episode of Banana Nite.

Netizens got agitated when Xian Lim turns bad tone on the Kim Chiu Kalokalike poking fun after she appeared at the end of the song, welcoming the Chinese New Year.

Received some tweets about the issue regarding Xian Lim and Kim's Kalokalike on Banana Nite's Chinese New Year coverage..

...on our part, it was a gimmick for Xian's song number, we wanted to surprise him with Kim's Kalokalike. Xian's reaction wasn't scripted...

...i'm sure Xian didn't mean any harm with his remarks and jokes on stage. Nag apologize na rin siya, kaya ok na ang lahat.

...we apologized to Charmaine after the segment. She told our staff it was ok and understood the fact na hindi lang nasakyan yung gag...

...kaya sana, huwag na palakihin ang issue.

Xian Lim caught the ire of netizens during the simulcast of Banana Nite Chinese New Year special last night. Fortunately, the Bride for Rent star was quick to retaliate and admit his mistake so he apologized on Twitter for creating negative impressions during the segment held for the countdown live at the plaza of Sta. Cruz Church in Binondo.


In the segment, he referred the Kim Chiu look-alike as Bea Binene. On his twitter account, he said the following:

XianLimm: I deeply apologize if I caused negative feelings while singing onstage during the Chinese New Years Eve countdown...

XianLimm: It was not my intention, and I take full responsibility for my actions. 

XianLimm: HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR EVERYONE! :-)

Still, social media hasn't been kind to him. After having his song number in front of Chinoys - he turned to the impersonator saying to Charmae Viking, ”Sino ito? Ano ang ginagawa ni Bea Binene dito?”

Xian Lim, the hottest actor this year, leads the cast of Bride for Rent along with her on-screen partner, Kim Chiu.

Kim Chiu and Xian Lim (KimXi) made a brand for themselves as they found their niche in the solid romance-comedy film Bride for Rent. Now, with the movie earning 100 M in just four days, they are certified blockbuster stars.


Add to that, Bride for Rent is poised to make a mark as part of the Top 10 of Philippines' Top grossing films of all time.

It is no news that Bride for Rent made it big in just four days and are expected to smash the target of Php 200 M by the weekend.

Currently, the last spot in the top grossing film's list is You Changed My Life starred by Sarah Geronimo and John Lloyd Cruz, with a little over P220 million.

Nothing can stop the formidable tandem of Kim Chiu and Xian Lim as their movie approaches Php 100 M during the fourth day of its screening in theaters nationwide.
