Xian Lim Says Sorry After Offense to Kim Chiu Look-alike, Charmaine Viking

Xian Lim caught the ire of netizens during the simulcast of Banana Nite Chinese New Year special last night. Fortunately, the Bride for Rent star was quick to retaliate and admit his mistake so he apologized on Twitter for creating negative impressions during the segment held for the countdown live at the plaza of Sta. Cruz Church in Binondo.


In the segment, he referred the Kim Chiu look-alike as Bea Binene. On his twitter account, he said the following:

XianLimm: I deeply apologize if I caused negative feelings while singing onstage during the Chinese New Years Eve countdown...

XianLimm: It was not my intention, and I take full responsibility for my actions. 

XianLimm: HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR EVERYONE! :-)

Still, social media hasn't been kind to him. After having his song number in front of Chinoys - he turned to the impersonator saying to Charmae Viking, ”Sino ito? Ano ang ginagawa ni Bea Binene dito?”
