Now that the The Voice of the Philippines Blind Auditions has come to an end, it is now time to cut the Top 52 singers.

The Battles pits two or three acts against each other. Ultimately, the coach will decide who wins The Battles for each round.

Week 1 (July 27-28, 2013)

Lee Grane vs Dan Billona 
Song: One by U2
The Battles Winner: Lee Grane Maranan

COMMENT: Lee Grane did very well, registering on the low side of the song. Dan probably took the stage because he has the higher vocal range. He had prominence in the male song. Lee was challenged, she's out of the comfort zone. I still believe Lee Grane did very well.

Morrisette Amon vs Lecelle Trinidad
Song: No More Tears by Donna Summer/Barbra Streisand
The Battles Winner: Morrisette Amon

COMMENT: Definitely, a diva face-off. But there's only one slot for their kind. Morrisette clearly has power in her voice. Lecelle has a great voice, but it's a little bit lower than Amon's. Lecelle's thick voice didn't match Amon's very distinct and high vocal range. Lecelle reminds me of Kyla. Amon has a commanding stage presence.

Mitoy Yonting vs Chien Berbana

COMMENT: Chien got nerves. But this is a very powerful battle.

The Voice of the Philippines - The Battles Team Lea - Mitoy Yonting vs Chien Berbana

UPDATE: 
Band singers Mitoy Yonting and Chien Berbana face each other for the first The Battles from Team Lea in The Voice of the Philippines.

The Battles: Mitoy Yonting vs. Chien Berbana 
Known as one of the most prominent Pinoy videoke favorite, Mitoy and Chien sang their version of Alone. As expected, the battle between the happy-go-lucky guy and mother went really hard. Chien found it hard to focus during rehearsals.

Bamboo and Sarah favored Mitoy while Apl liked Chien's performance.
In the end, Lea chose Mitoy Yonting over Chien Berbana.
