Band singers Mitoy Yonting and Chien Berbana face each other for the first The Battles from Team Lea in The Voice of the Philippines.

The Battles: Mitoy Yonting vs. Chien Berbana 
Known as one of the most prominent Pinoy videoke favorite, Mitoy and Chien sang their version of Alone. As expected, the battle between the happy-go-lucky guy and mother went really hard. Chien found it hard to focus during rehearsals.

Bamboo and Sarah favored Mitoy while Apl liked Chien's performance.
In the end, Lea chose Mitoy Yonting over Chien Berbana.

Tonight, Mitoy Yonting and Chien Berbana will be battling each other to stay in the competition. For Team Lea, they will be the first two individuals to go into The Voice of the Philippines The Battles.

The Voice of the Philippines Ratings, Very High for Weekend Nights!

Looks like ABS-CBN has proven it is the best when it comes to producing reality talent search nationwide! After the success of the Endemol franchises, The Voice of the Philippines with Team Lea, Team Sarah, Team Bamboo and Team Apl trended its way on Twitter last weekend.


In fact, The Voice Philippines topped the ratings during the said dates.The Voice of the Philippines hit a national TV rating of 30.2%, or 18 points higher than GMA 7’s Celebrity Bluff (12.1%), in its pilot airing last Saturday (June 15). It also topped the list of most-watched programs last Sunday (Jun 16) with a national TV rating of 27.7%, beating rival Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho with only 22%.

Each coach must have 12 contestants each in order to move on to the Battle round of the competition whereas they will have their teams face each other until they have final 6 each.

A month before "The Voice of the Philippines" starts airing on ABS-CBN, two of the show's coaches gave a tease as to what should be expected from the show.

Sarah Geronimo will be bringing the voice of OPM pop in the The Voice Philippines to be hosted by Toni Gonzaga and Robi Domingo. Bamboo, on the other hand, will be the voice of OPM rock while Apl de Ap will be the voice of OPM R&B. Lea Salonga will be the voice that conquered the world.

Earlier, in ASAP, they had a duet and this phenomenal performance really wowed the audience and the millions of viewers worldwide.
