UP Fighting Maroons, Lose to FEU Tamaraws, 75-57 | Maroons Stay at the Bottom of the UAAP Season 76 Men's Basketball Standings

After trailing at halftime in their first two games of the tournament, Far Eastern University finally found the remedy to turn things around as they defeated the University of the Philippines 75-57 to attain their third straight win in as many games in the Men’s basketball tournament of UAAP Season 76 on Sunday, July 7, 2013 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

The Tamaraws started the contest with an early 10-2 advantage and led by twenty, 41-21 after two quarters. FEU’s biggest lead was at twenty nine points, 62-33 in the third period.“We started well today compared to the first two games and that is something that we we’re trying to address,” said FEU Head Coach Nash Racela.However, the Fighting Maroons responded with a 15-0 run to cut the deficit to fourteen, 62-48 early in the fourth period.“We’re trying to guard against complacency. Pero natuwa ako when UP was making a run, RR (Garcia) and Terrence (Romeo) were calling plays for each other. The Season 76 of UAAP is set to open on Saturday, June 29 and here’s the complete lineup of Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles that will go for their sixth straight crown.

Ateneo will try to defend the title without their key players Greg Slaughter and Nico Salva, and of course head coach Norman black who went pro with the Talk N’ Text Tropang Texters in the PBA.

It’s Kiefer Ravena’s team now, and new head coach Bo Perasol hopes that The Phenom will deliver an MVP performance from him. Here’s the complete roster for Season 76:

A new coach and old reliable guards will banner Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws’ campaign in this UAAP Season 76 men’s basketball tournament set to start on June 29, 2013.

FEU tapped coach Nash Racela to man the sidelines for the Tamaraws which still have the scoring duo of RR Garcia and Terrence Romeo. The team hopes to be back at Final Four this year after missing it last season.

It's just one more month and the UAAP Season 76 opening ceremonies will be on its way. The much-awaited UAAP 2013 Men's Basketball Schedule for first round is now released. The 2013 season of the UAAP will be starting on June 29.

The UAAP Season 76 opening ceremonies will be held at the MOA Arena The Eye in Pasay. The full schedule of the first round is listed below with men's basketball following the ceremony on June 29, with FEU Tamaraws vs UE Red Warriors at 2 PM and DLSU Green Archers vs UST Growling Tigers for the main game scheduled at 4 PM.
