Kathryn Bernardo, Yahoo! OMG's Awesome Young Actress awardee in 2011 and Most Promising Actress in 2012 is this year's recipient of Yahoo! OMG Breakthrough Actress of the Year award.
Kathryn, who received a total 278,152 votes, bested co-nominees Kapuso actress and "With a Smile" female lead star Andrea Torres with 110,603 votes, "Maria Mercedes" star Jessy Mendiola with 42,539 votes, Bianca King, on the other hand raked 30,909 votes, while TV5 "Undercover" star Jasmine Curtis-Smith scored a total of 15,311 votes.

Enrique Gil, Philippines Sexiest Man of 2013 and the lead star of ABS-CBN's hottest primetime series "Muling Buksan ang Puso," was named the Breakthrough Actor of the Year in the 2013 Yahoo! OMG Awards awarding ceremonies held at the SMMall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on July 19, 2013.
Enrique leads the poll with 316,772 votes, while his “Princess and I” fellow starDaniel Padilla came in second with 280,830 votes. Richard Yap took the third place with 222,767 votes. Alden Richards and Edgar Allan Guzman took the fourth and fifth spots with 105,802 and 6,301 votes, respectively.

Kapatid stars present in the event are Albie Casino, Eula Caballero, Victor Silayan, Akihiro Blanco, Chanel Morales, Tuesday Vargas, Vin Abrenica and Sophie Albert. Kapamilya stars who graced the awarding ceremony include Matteo Guidicelli, Erik Santos, Yeng Constantino, Young JV, Kean Cipriano, Sam Concepcion, Tippy Dos Santos, Marco Gumabao, Vice Ganda, Enrique Gil, Coco Martin, Korina Sanchez and Gary V.
